The Blaeserjugend Baden-Württemberg (BJBW) has been founded in 1977 as a youth organisation of the “Blasmusikverband Baden-Wuerttemberg e.V.”. The amount of memberships has been increased till now. The BJBW counts 45.000 members who are younger than 18 and all in all 70.000 members who are younger than 27. Based on this fact the “Blaeserjugend Baden-Wuerttemberg is one of the biggest youth organisations in Baden-Wuerttemberg (province in the south of Germany). Since then the BJBW stands for advancement and development in the field of wind music. Therefore the association supports wind orchestras and voluntary work of young musicians of wind music. Though it encourages key qualifications like teamwork, tolerance and sense of responsibility to the youth and young adults. Furthermore for the BJBW it is important to help music associations in their daily work. That means:
Moreover the “Blaeserjugend Baden-Wuerttemberg” stands for a modern and future oriented association which looks that the standard of wind music will be improved in future and that politics, economy and public will be aware about the importance of wind music as a social and cultural factor in the province of Baden-Wuerttemberg. The newest image campaign with the mission statement: “experience the other sound” take the image of wind music and the BJBW in a modern and future oriented theme.
